Mark Aunger

Hailing from Devon, England, Mark began working on cars at 15 years old. His passion for all things BMW began in 2001 while working for Ocean BMW in the U.K. After moving to the U.S. in 2002, Mark’s experience continued at BMW of New London until 2007. Taking his love of the cars one step further, he moved north of Chicago to work for the premier BMW restoration and preservation specialist, The Werk Shop. Mark is extremely knowledgeable about the BMW brand and is personally interested in the late 60’s – early 70’s cars such as the 2002 and 3.0 CSL Coupe. His restoration experience has included working on such cars as the 1956 503 Cabriolet, 1972 2002 Tii, 1972 2002 Baur Targa (featured at the 2009 Oktoberfest Concours), 1974 3.0 CS Coupe, 1974 Bavaria, and an extremely rare Series 1 507. In addition to BMW, Mark has dealer experience at Ford Europe, Volkswagen, and Audi. When he’s not working on BMWs, Mark never misses a Formula One race. He’s also had experience as a technician on a racing team for UK Rally Races. One day he dreams of getting to the famous Pike’s Peak International Hill Climb. Currently, he can be seen participating in his custom Mini at one of the many BMW CCA Track Day events at Lime Rock or Palmer Motorsports Park.
